Thornbury Stairlifts is a family run locally based business now in its seventh year of providing a much needed service for people who find their stairs a daily struggle or challenge perhaps through illness or disability, more and more people are choosing to have a stairlift installed in their own homes to maintain their independence rather than choosing the costly option and upheaval of moving to a bungalow.
For many years Richard, often mistaken for George Clooney (in his dreams!!!) owns and manages Thornbury Stairlifts together with his wife Karen, worked for a very well known Lift/Stairlift company as a Senior Technical Engineer achieving NVQ level 2 and 3 in passenger goods, stair lifts and other Technical certificates, before starting up his own stairlift company.
Now with over 18 years “hands on” experience in the stairlift industry and with the help of new and sophisticated technology available, it is possible to fit a stairlift to almost any configuration of staircase.
Thornbury Stairlifts provide annual maintenance, breakdown cover and repairs, specialising in first time fixes. We carry a vast range of spares for most stair lifts up to 20 years old (or even older) and always have new and approved used stair lifts in stock for immediate installation.
Thornbury Stairlifts supply and fit new and approved used straight and curved stair lifts complete with warranty. We also offer straight stair lifts on a rental basis for people that only require a stairlift short term.
We carry out regular annual main- tenance as recommended by all stairlift manufactures to keep your stairlift in tip top condition. Due to requests from our clients Thornbury Stairlifts also now sell a safe battery powered, strong,
lightweight reclining bath seat.
We are always happy to offer a free consultation and survey in your own home with absolutely no obligation and to advise on the most suitable stairlift to suit your needs and budget.
We are also delighted to announce that as of the 1st January 2012 we will be joined by another engineer (Joe) who will be a much valued member of our team, with his friendly and approachable manner (and partial to the occasional pork pie!)
