Physical Education news Under 15s qualify for semi final


On Wednesday 11th January 2011 the Under 15s football team recorded an amazing victory over Bishop Challoner in the London Cup. Bishop Challoner were yet to concede a single goal in the build up to this match so the prospect of playing them in the quarter finals was a tremendous challenge. In fact, it took only 2 minutes for Gmanoh Choloply, Ruth Oburoh and Carla Cooper to create havoc in the opposing half resulting in a corner to Grey Coat. Ruth’s corner found Ocean Lewis in the middle of the penalty area and she tucked the ball away giving our girls a 1-0 lead!


The girls then had to fight and battle all over the pitch to keep out Bishop who boasted fourEngland U15 players and did so brilliantly. Elizabeth Todd, in goal, only had one shot to save as our defence worked well as a unit to close down and retain possession. Congratulations to the following girls for their tremendous effort in the quarter finals. Elizabeth Todd, Chloe Murr, Katie Sapiano Oakley, Laura Ivey, Charlotte Finn, Ronnie Bond, Bethany Kilminster, Millie Morrissey, Mathilde Edgington Pollard, Elena Rastorgueva, Jasmine Gotobed, Ruth Oburoh, Gmanoh Choloply, Ocean Lewis and Carla Cooper.


The girls now play City Academy of Southwark in the semis and are one game away from their first ever London Cup Final! Mr Powell
