for clients who require support or companionship to enable people to live in their own homes for as long as possible,” said director Liz.
“We believe in continuity of care and keep the amount of carers for each client to a minimum. This will encourage a build up of trust and confidence between the family and carer, which in turn helps to develop a deeper level of understanding, between both the client and care worker.
Liz Chenery and Allyson Cooke
WITH over 20 years’ experience in the care industry, Allyson Cooke and Liz Chenery decided to set up The Garden of England Homecare to offer people high quality care that loved ones deserve.
Allyson and Liz believe in helping people continue to have the independence they need to spend their last years in their own home, if they so wish.
Specialising in dementia and end of life care, all of their staff
undergo background checks and are professionally trained to a high standard that exceeds the national minimum standard. They will also either have, or be working towards, a level 2 NVQ in health and social care.
According to director Allyson: “We take time in recruiting our carers as we are only as good as the staff we employ. We insist on a 'treat someone as you would like to be treated yourself' policy.
“We provide personal homecare
“We appreciate that sometimes families may just need a short break from time to time; for this we offer a sitting service.”
A wide range of homecare solutions, provided to enable independence at home, include: personal care; bathing/shower service; meal preparation, support with medication; domestic tasks; companionship; accompanying clients on outings, shopping trips, hospital or doctor visits; overnight waking stays; overnight sleeping stays; laundry and ironing.
Allyson added: “We really do
understand the needs of each individual, therefore all of our care plans are 'person centred', so you will always receive the best care to suit your specific needs.”
