Maidstone Borough Council 3 Know your Gateway


This month the Maidstone Gateway will be celebrating its third birthday. Since opening in January 2009, 140,000 people have walked through the doors to receive the services offered by Maidstone Borough Council, Kent County Council and other public service providers.

Did you know?


· The average waiting time for customers is 13 minutes. · 75% of customers are seen within 20 minutes.


· There are seven self help PC’s where customers can access the internet for up to one hour per day.


· The Gateway’s community toilets have disabled access and are open to the public. There is a separate disabled toilet and a Changing Place facility.


· There is a wellpoint machine, to check weight, hydration quota, BMI (body mass index), body fat content, heart rate and blood pressure.


· There are three automated payment kiosks for easy, no queue payments by cash or debit card for all council services.
