n a pioneering move leading UK prolab Loxley Colour has flown a world-class California-based filmmaker to its Glasgow HQ for a two-day video shoot in a bid to ‘demystify behind the scenes workflow’ for its global database of photographer customers. Managing director Ian Loxley commissioned award-winning cinematographer Anton Lorimer to produce a short video outlining, for the first time, just how the 52,000 sq ft lab works to stay at the cutting edge of imaging technology.

“The new corporate video on our website is only just over two and a half minutes long”, he said, “but it is a UK-industry first and it’s a professionally executed snapshot of what we do; how we em- brace latest technology and how we support the development of this industry.”

The photograph above shows Trevor and Faye Yerbury discussing prints at the lab.

Ayrshire-based photographer Hamish Scott-Brown, featured in this issue and in the video, told us: “Loxley’s work is superb. My suc- cess is due to the quality of the work they produce. This film affirms they are at the forefront of technology in this sector.” Unlike most videos intended to go viral, Loxley has not released

this on YouTube but used the HD pioneers Vimeo. You can watch the video at:
