and there was a requirement to prove that we were working professionals. Having to dem- onstrate that we had the talent and the business skills to coexist in the marketplace.
“Whilst the qualification requirements can appear over- whelming, in terms of assem- bling and investing the time, it’s worth it. Having gone through health and safety legislation for a larger organisation, I see risk everywhere – even down to the provision of coffee for employees!” Of course, with Licentiate behind him, looking forward to Associate and Fellowship as achievements. It’s clear that these are standards Paul wishes to accomplish for personal reasons as well as professional ones, determined to master another skill both artistically and technically – the commer- cial work, founded on advertis- ing, commercial and portfolio work at the moment must also progress. his photography is his willing- ness to give back, and to teach where he can as well as learn. With so many business and management skills, he’s gained so much from the available training, seminars and education throughout the industry, and fully acknowledges the input he
has had from photographers and trainers like Bjorn Thomassen. In just a decade, Paul has devel- oped an attitude and skillset that is quite admirable - and hopefully, will yield results in both his business and for those around him. – RTK
