CONFERENCE WRAP-UP

NSHMBA

The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) 2011 Conference

A

ccelerating Hispanic Business Talent was the theme of this year’s conference: tak-

ing motivated, passionate, and talented His- panic students, professionals, and entrepre- neurs and moving them into positions where their skills and talents are not only sought, but imperative to the growth of business. The 2011 Conference and Career Expo was

at the center of NSHMBA’s goals to increase Hispanic awareness of the influence and rele- vance of an MBA, to build scholarly and pro- fessional

relationships so that its message

reaches all constituents, and to collaborate to build and fortify connections and relationships within the Hispanic community. Attendees took advantage of professional development seminars, an exclusive Executive Forum, a Ca- reer Management Center, an Entrepreneurial Success Session, and a CEO Speaker Series, in addition to the nation’s largest career expo for Hispanic professionals. The career expo was attended by more than

250 corporations, non-profits, government agencies, and academic institutions, all of which were there to interview the most talented Hispanics students and professionals–and all onsite. In total, over 8,000 Hispanic business students, professionals and entrepreneurs at- tended this year’s event. For more information please visit www.nshmba.org.
