New radish oil triglyceride

Natural Plant Products has launched Daikon Radish Oil, a unique, extremely light-coloured, and odourless triglyceride derived from the seeds of commercial daikon radish fields. The value of Daikon Radish Oil lays in its novel chemistry. Like Meadowfoam Seed Oil and Meadowfoam CP, its fatty acid composition differs greatly from the C16 and C18 dominated fatty acid composition that typifies so many edible and cosmetic grade oils. It is composed of an atypical mixture of C18, C20, and C22 fatty acids, and offers a new chemistry to formulators. The oil imparts a delicate slip with good absorption, and presents a sensory profile more closely associated with esters and silicone type emollients. Natural Plant Products has conducted a spreading test which has

confirmed that Daikon Radish Oil behaves like a triglyceride on the skin despite its ester-like feel. A trans-epidermal water loss study also revealed that Daikon Radish Oil significantly improved barrier function in comparison to isopropyl palmitate at all measurement intervals between 30 minutes and 4 hours post application. The same study revealed that Daikon Radish Oil

showed the same barrier improvement function as well-known cosmetic emollients such as Meadowfoam Seed Oil and 100 cps dimethicone. Natural Plant Products Inc., Stand G46

The latest in sensory technology A synergistic acquisition Salvona’s newest sensory technology, HydroSal™ FreshCool, is a unique, controlled-release

delivery system designed to address the need for an intense, longer-lasting refreshing sensation. HydrdoSal™

FreshCool is stable, cost-effective and easy to incorporate into various

formulations. The addition of this technology results in a final product that is smooth, effective and skin-friendly. The technology provides a fresh invigorating feeling that is perceived instantly and lasts longer than current market products. Consumer studies indicate that the “fresh” sensation from the technology is nearly twice as intense and lasts almost twice as long (greater than 15 minutes) as that of a leading commercial refreshing agent in a shampoo application. The technology is alcohol free, promoting water-based products that do not irritate the skin. Formulating with HydroSal™

FreshCool is easy, and does not require heating or additional

processing. As a result, the final product is clear and stable. The natural properties of the technology allow innovative formations into both anionic and cationic bases. Salvona Technologies, Stand F20
