To provide a safe, supporve place where children & youth can experience new opportunies, overcome barriers,

build posive relaonships and develop confidence & skills for life. CHILDRENS SERVICES CORE VALUES Inclusion & Opportunity

We strive to offer children and youth from all economic, cultural and social backgrounds access to the resources, supports and opportunies that will enable them to overcome barriers and achieve their posive potenal in life.

Respect & Belonging

We provide a safe, supporve place where every child is listened to, re- spected and valued in an environment of inclusion and acceptance. Our staff and volunteers model honesty, fair play, posive atude, cooperaon and respect for self and others.

Empowerment

We believe all young people can grow into responsible, contribung and self reliant members of society. Children and youth are at the center of every- thing we do. Through adventure, play and discovery, we encourage and em- power them to develop healthy life- styles, a life-long passion for learning, leadership and life skills and a sense of social responsibility.

Collaboraon

We work together with families and volunteers in each community, in part- nership with the public and private sector, to create healthy community soluons to providing children and youth with what they need for opmal development.

Speaking Out

We speak out on behalf of children, youth and their families to reduce dis- advantage, enhance their lives and enable their voices and ideas to be heard.

We are excited to announce that Pink Shirt Day is scheduled for Wednesday, February 29th, 2012! In anticipation of this important event where we rally the community to take a stand against bullying, we are planning a pledge campaign. To make a pledge for a child in your community please visit our website:

www.bgclethbridge.com

The Pink Shirt pledge campaign starts during the month of November in recognition of Family Violence Prevention Month and National Bullying Awareness Week. Alberta Children and Youth Services has also developed a community resource toolkit that includes tools and resources to build awareness about family violence and bullying.
