DESPITE A SLOW START DUE TO UNUSUALLY WARM TEMPERATURES, I’M PLEASED TO REPORT THAT THE 2011-12 CURLING SEASON IS WELL UNDERWAY. HERE IS SOME USEFUL INFORMATION AND WHAT WE HAVE PLANNED FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON By Bill Duck

What is their function? Te committee consists of representatives from each


section with the purpose of guiding our program to suc- cessful enjoyment of our game and our Club. Te Commit- tee is our voice at the Board. If you have a question, concern and/or suggestion please contact your section representative or the Curling Office.


Our Curling Committee for the 2011 – 2012 season: Gary Halpenny – Chair, Director Karen Winter – Vice Chair, Director Tracy Martin – Day Ladies Judy Moore – Wednesday Evening Ladies’ League Mary Lou Cronan, Scott Haskill, Jeannie & Mike Dwhytie – Mixed Jamie Arnold – Tursday Open Steve Dineen – Men Robin Stewart – Toronto Curling Association Kathy McLeod (Ladies) – Ontario Curling Association Brian Petrie (Men) – Ontario Curling Association


Each section oversees league play and bonspiels or


competitions specific to their group with the assistance of the Curling Office. Our bonspiels continue to be regarded among the best


in the GTA. Our success is attributable to the involvement of our Members and the support of our sponsors. If you would like to assist with your section’s activities please con- vey your interest to the appropriate representative and/or the Curling Office. If you have a question, please ask. (Members & Staff) eager to share our experiences and talk curling. Have a memorable 2011-12 Season!
