COOKERY CLASSES Te addition of the cookery classes has been a

great success with members willingly taking part in dinner preparations in the back part of the club- house kitchen. We offer a unique experience which is educational, social and, above all, lots of fun. In 2012 we plan to enhance the cookery class experi- ence and offer a group of classes rounded off by a gourmet dinner, prepared by the cooking students, for all members to attend and enjoy. We can also offer a cookery class as a corporate evening open to small groups of up to 16 people. Tis is a great way to have a team building exercise with dinner and cooking tips.

We plan to build more gardens next year and enjoy a greater harvest of homegrown ingredients. Our partnerships with local farmers and

growers give us the opportunity to develop dishes using ingredients that are higher in quality and more nutritious, improve local economies and help us become more ecologically sound.

THE DRAGON LOUNGE Te Food and Beverage team are committed

to improving the level of service to the Dragon Lounge. A new Curling Chef is on site this year. Noriss Samuels is an experienced chef with many

years in numerous high end kitchens in Ontario. Te menu selection has increased for the 2011/2012 season and we are pushing hard to give excellent value for money with a consistent, fresh and carefully prepared product.


We will continue to build on the success of the

social calendar. Our Social Committee works hard to provide a strong mix of excellent social events at the Club. Te Super Bowl Party and Seafood Night are just a couple of examples of the great evenings of camaraderie, good food and entertainment at St. George’s. Te August Wine Tasting Event is still talked about and we hope to build upon the success of the event for 2012. We plan to continue to pres- ent the dining theme events such as: Steakhouse Week, Ristorante Week and Oyster Night and will add others to these successful events.
