CREATIVE EXPRESSION Poetry Corner Begending The End of Beginning
I cannot walk your path I cannot sow your seed
I am more the one you want When I am less the one you need
If you are in the flow of my life Then you know when I am still And you cannot sail my waters When there is no wind to fill
The sails that will billow
From a breeze that is serene I am the only me I need
When I need only to be seen
I am the path that is only for me And if you cannot understand Then I was never in your life And I am never in your hand
For you cannot hold my flavor If you cannot taste my wine
I am not the grape you harvest I am the life inside the vine
So if you drink me with respect And you feel my tannins ease Into the corners of your mouth That only taste but never please
Then you shall never know my bounty For it is hidden in desire
Appearing only in the smoke Which is the signature of fire
I cannot tell you what I want
But you should allready know For if you truly are my lover
I cannot hide where you can’t go I only flow in my own river
For it is there I learned to swim
And if you are to be with who I am Then you will end where I begin.

Preheat oven to 350 F. Place sweet potatoes, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, lemon, juice, sugar, Savannah Bee Company Orange Blossom Honey, and eggs in large bowl. Blend ingredients together until they are thor- oughly mixed. Equally distribute the sweet potato mix into the pie shells. Place some aluminum foil on and around the edges of the pie shells so the crust will not burn when the pies are baked. Place pies in the oven and bake for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving. Serve with whipped cream. Makes 2 pies/16 to 20 servings.
