offices still has them buy from a big company, if they could still set aside a few dollars to order from local vendors, it would help our local economy so much. Now that Dean & Deluca buys from another national company, it feels good to still be able to do business with them after 6 years even if it is on a smaller scale.

What is unusual or unique about your business, in comparison to your competitors or similar businesses? What is unique about my business is that we make cookies and cakes with our customer’s events in mind. If you send me an invitation or nap- kin, we can make a cookie or cake to match your theme. I even have the ability to make a cookie cutter if I cannot find one to match the theme. I have made cookie cutters for a nutcracker themed party. I have made a guitar cookie cutter

for my daughter’s birthday party where the theme was “Girl’s Rock.” I have even made a cookie cutter for the crown of Queen Charlotte. I love creating something new and unique for any occasion from weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, baby showers, etc.

Is there a customer experience you are most proud of? I would say that all of my customer experiences are special. I can’t think of one that was better or more rewarding than the other. I can say it has been really cool to provide cookies for weddings and then actually see them in the ven- ue. But I am proud of all the work I do, it doesn’t matter if the order is large or small, the same amount of care goes into each one.

Do you do any charity or non profit work?

Our long standing charities are Easter Seals UCP of North Carolina, because they helped my daughter so much during the developmental years and Misty Meadows Mitey Riders, which is a therapeutic horseback riding program that my daughter has participated in for 9 years. We recently participated in the Great American Bake Sale that was sponsored and organized by Good Eats-Charlotte and benefited Share Our Strength: No Kid Hungry. The Bake Sale was held at SouthPark Mall and lots of other Charlotte Bakeries participated to help raise about $2500. We also had an of- fer on Amazon Local where 10% of sales went to the Easter Seals UCP Walk With Me on October 8. We were able to raise $150 with customer support. We also helped
