Stamford Endowed Schools require an experienced and commercially focused manager to develop the business and educational use of the three schools’ sports and leisure facilities including the new 25m indoor swimming pool and gym complex at Stamford School scheduled to open in Spring 2012.


The successful candidate will have a higher education qualifi cation in sports and recreation management, have spent at least two years as assistant manager in a commercial leisure centre and have lifeguarding and coaching qualifi cations.

Nottingham club for The Gym Group


Low-cost health club operator Te Gym Group has expanded its UK portfolio to 10 sites with the launch of a new gym in Nottingham. Te opening forms part of the chain’s bid to


further expand the business, with four more clubs scheduled to open by spring 2011. Launched on 16 November, the new


Nottingham facility is open 24 hours a day and offers monthly membership for £15.99 with no minimum contract. Te Gym Group has also revealed that 70


per cent of the fitness equipment is energy efficient, while the site’s lighting and shower systems will operate on timers.


Te Gym Group’s new Nottingham facility CEO John Treharne said: “We are delighted

Chef Marcus Wareing will open a flagship restaurant at the Renaissance St. Pancras Hotel London. To be called Gilbert Scott – after the architect who designed the 137-year-old building – the 6,700sq ft (622sq m), 120-cover British brasserie will be Wareing’s second in London. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual who is either fully qualifi ed or close to becoming fully qualifi ed. You will be working in a multi-functional team, taking a lead role on a specialist area as knowledge and competency permit.


You should have experience of managing people and projects. The role entails the management of the Leisure and Culture Services within Melton Borough Council. You will need experience of partnership working and be able to show an aptitude to use leisure and culture of improve outcomes for the more vulnerable members of the community.
