hat better than having your brand and business promoted by those that you employ? Well that’s
what being a Springboard Ambassador is all about. Te scheme is designed to help people already working in the hospital- ity, leisure and tourism industry develop their skills in spreading the word about the exciting and varied career opportuni- ties available to potential recruits. Ambassadors are selected by their
employers for their passion and enthusiasm for the industry. Te programme develops their presentation skills, giving them the confidence to be advocates who provide a realistic insight into the wealth of jobs and career opportunities within our industry. Tey also get the opportunity to develop discussions about career progression based on their own experiences. Te course also includes a section on
work experience, helping delegates to understand the importance of implement- ing a good work experience programme for local schools and colleges to access (INSPIRE). Delegates are advised on how to implement good work experience prac- tices and are encouraged to either set up a programme or help to improve an existing programme by offering their support. Another key element of the programme
is to encourage delegates in an awareness and celebration of their own organisation’s brand, giving them the tools to be an advo- cate not only of the industry but of their own organisation thus equipping them to support the induction of new staff and share their enthusiasm for their work with fellow workers, which plays a crucial part in the recruitment and retention of high quality employees. Tis is Springboard’s 21st Anniversary
Year and we are aiming towards train- ing our 100th Ambassador, could that be you or one of your employees? For more information or for a course near you e-mail
