President’s Message
The Springfield College education begins with our mission of educating the whole person—in spirit, mind, and body—for leadership in service to others. We believe as much in the development of your character as we do in developing your knowledge. We encourage you to look outward, rather than inward, and to care about others as much as you do yourself. We take great pride in our close-knit community of faculty, staff, and students, and even greater pride in our neighboring communities. Through this engagement, you become a part of, and not apart from, others.
We are a community that is in constant motion: learning, participating, competing, volunteering, and more. We offer one of the finest collegiate campuses around, with many new and renovated facilities that provide you with a learning and living environment second to none.
At Springfield College, you will not only develop personally but also professionally. From your first day on campus to your graduation, you are part of a stellar community of graduates who have gone before you and made their mark upon the world. Whatever you choose to do with your life, be assured that you will find the knowledge, training, and experiential skills here that will enable you to transform lives and communities.
Each year I meet with the senior class before their graduation and ask them to reflect upon their time here. And, each year I hear the same comments: that Springfield College was absolutely the right choice. Now it’s up to you. Come to campus for a tour. Talk with our students, professors, and coaches. Experience for yourself what thousands of our graduates have found: Springfield College is the place where a lifetime of passion and purpose is developed.
We look forward to seeing you.
Richard B. Flynn, Ed. D. President
