When you are not in the classroom, you can participate in numerous clubs and organizations and attend athletic and entertainment events. With more than 40 special interest clubs and organizations, there is so much to do that you won’t want to leave campus.
But if you do, Springfield is home to many places of interest, including the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the MassMutual Center (the premier arena and convention center in the region), as well as restaurants, museums, parks, and clubs. The surrounding area, known as the Pioneer Valley, offers unlimited opportunities for culture, learning, recreation, and just plain fun. If you’re in the mood for a more metropolitan experience, Boston and New York City are a short car, bus, or train ride away.
