Fully engage in service to others.

The Springfield College commitment of service to the community is part of your entire experience. It is integrated into the curriculum through internships at schools and non-profit agencies and put into action through campus-wide initiatives, such as the

annual Humanics in Action Day—a modern version of a long-standing tradition at the College to actively address the needs of others. Humanics in Action Day is unique to Springfield College. On this day, classes are suspended so students, faculty, and staff

can fan out across the city of Springfield to read to youngsters, clean up vacant lots, work on service projects, and generally make connections with the community. It is a day embraced by our neighbors and one that proudly conveys our mission.
