Setting Sail on the 2011-2012 School Year


Welcome aboard the 2011/2012 IMEA Band Division cruise ship CREATIVITY! I’m so glad you chose to join us as IMEA sets sail on another school year. Our itinerary includes many exciting activities throughout the year which will enhance the musical experiences of both you and your students and create memories that will last a lifetime.


As captain of your ship, I need to remind you of some important details. Last year, changes were made to the IMEA Performance and Clinic Applications. Please remember that the submission date for applications for All-State 2013 is March 1, 2012. For details see the forms on page 50-51 of this issue. Everyone will be notifi ed of their acceptance to the 2013 IMEA Convention by MAY 1st, 2012! I highly encourage you to apply and share this wonderful opportunity with your students. Please read the application information below and contact me if you have any questions. WE NEED ALL LEVELS AND ALL SIZES OF PERFORMANCE GROUPS for a true representation of ALL of Illinois!
