Whether spending spurs you on, or whether you are watching your pennies as well as your weight, there is an exercise option for you, says Alyssa Howell


They say that money is the root of evil – but for some people it’s the root of sloth. “I can’t afford to get fit,” they claim. But there are options to suit all purses. And it could be that paying that little bit extra might motivate you to stay on track. Or it might be that you want to be able to pick and mix the activities/classes to suit you.


Bannatyne’s Health Club

compete in a variety of events locally and abroad, and the Harriers host the

For £42 per month you can attend as many classes as you like – or if you’d rather just commit to one a week it’s £32. BMF is a national organisation that runs classes in parks across the UK.
