August 13 Yoganubhava and Attendance


Indian Cultural Heritage Foundation is proud to present Yoganubhava and Attendance—The Dance Annual of India. The evening includes: a foyer exhibition of rare pictures, articles, letters, notes of classical Indian celebrities and legends; a culminating performance of a Bharatanatyam dance workshop—YogAnubhava led by Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy; a dance film—Century of Indian Dance by Ashish Mohan Khokar—documenting 100 years of archived films; and Purusha—an acclaimed performance by five male soloists perform- ing Bharatanatyam, Orissi and Kathak Indian dance styles. Dance crit- ic, scholar and author of 35 books on Indian dance and culture, Ashish Mohan Khokar, conducts the performance. Psophonia Dance Company, under the artistic direction of Sophia L. Torres and Sonia Noriega, tears a hole through the Earth’s fabric in Rip in the Atmosphere.
