This Jamai- can immigrant, earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Howard University and an MBA from Fordham Univer- sity. She is also a CPA and CFA. Always good at figures, Isaacs-Lowe found her accounting groove at Howard after a guidance counselor suggested that her career prospects would be broader if she exploited her quantitative skills. Committed to community service, she serves on the board of Enterprise Community Investments, Inc., an innovative provider of financing for low income housing. She also participates in several mentoring initiatives, enabling young people to achieve their full potential. In 2010, Isaacs-Lowe told readers of The Glass Hammer, an online community for women executives in financial services, law and business, that while technical skills are important, “to be an effective leader you have to be well rounded.”

If you say “broad responsibility,” PNC says Shaheen Dil. She manages the group that ensures bank compliance with global capital requirements from start to finish, leads a team using analytics and technology to assist “profitable growth,” and serves with other senior officers on


committees overseeing risk management and reserve adequacy. For a time, she was also the firm’s chief performance officer. Dil, who graduated from Vassar College, who has a Master of Arts in international relations from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. from Princeton University, began her banking career as a Mellon Bank economist. The 15-year veteran is also an active supporter of diversity hiring and each summer works with approximately five interns. As a PNC Manage- ment Committee member, she helped create and imple- ment a mentoring program for women and people of color. The married mother of two considers her three

the company in terms of the percentage of PNC checking accounts opened in 2009 and 2010. “I enjoy developing my team and seeing that turn into new relationships for the bank,” said Boldin. Prior to joining PNC, Boldin served in positions of increasing responsibility in both the retail and finance sectors, including a stint as vice president and branch cluster manager at Bank of America. Boldin earned a bach- elor’s degree in international relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She expects to graduate with a master’s in international business from the University of Maryland in December 2011. In the community, Boldin has served on several nonprofit boards since 2007. She has been a member of the Maryland Banker’s Association Government Relations Council since April 2008 and has served on the Maryland Instructional Technology Advisory Council since April of this year. “I like working for a company that is forward-thinking and wants to make a difference in the communities it serves.”
