Dear Friends,

We are pleased to present the Jewish Family & Children’s Service 2010 Annual Report. JF&CS is an organization that is constantly innovating, growing, and improving. Our committed board, talented staff, generous donors, and dedicated volunteers helped make 2010 another extremely successful year of service.

During 2010, building on our strength as an organization, we continued to expand our programs and services to address an ever-growing continuum of needs, including those of newborns, families in crisis, immigrants, adults with disabilities, and seniors. With our merger with Jewish Family Service of the North Shore, we look forward to unifying and expanding our network to reach an even wider community, and to improve the lives of even more individuals.

We are also pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has approved an exciting and ambitious 2012-2014 Strategic Plan. The strategic planning process was an invaluable opportunity to take a look into the future and clarify our long-term vision and strategic priorities. We are very grateful to Chair Robin Neiterman, who lent her significant expertise to this intensive effort, and to the many board and staff members who contributed to the process.

Since our last Strategic Plan, our organization has grown significantly, with new programs, services, and staff members, as well as an ever-increasing number of clients being served every day. The new plan envisions many innovative ways of building on our successes by introducing new methods of service delivery and using cutting-edge technology. We hope you enjoy learning about our exciting plans. We are proud of the agency’s many accomplishments at this important moment in our history and move forward with great hope and energy toward the future.

Sincerely,

Seymour J. Friedland, Ph.D. Chief Executive Officer
