THE NEW HAMPSHIRE MUSIC FESTIVAL KICKS OFF ITS 59TH
SEASON The New Hampshire
Music Festival kicks off its 59th season, a cel- ebration of friends and family under the baton of 2011 Music Director, Benjamin Loeb at 8:00 pm, Thursday, July 7th at Silver Center for the Arts, Plymouth and Friday July 8th at Gilford Auditorium. Loeb has planned a truly exciting season. Familiar composers will share the stage with the new and lesser known, leading off the first Classics concert with a lively, lyrical and joyous overture by Domi- nic Dousa followed by the Brahms Double Concerto performed by Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient, vi- olinist Jennifer Frautschi and gifted cellist Alexis Pia Gerlach. The program will conclude with a piece by Brahm’s mentor, Rob- ert Schumann, Sympho- ny No. 4, in its original form. Jennifer Frautschi has
created a sensation with her appearances as solo- ist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Chi- cago Symphony Orchestra at the Ravinia Festival, the Wigmore Hall and Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival. She has soloed with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Buffalo Philharmonic, Louisville Orchestra, Or- chestra of St. Luke’s and Symphonies of Cincinnati, Kansas City, San Diego, Seattle and Utah. Selected by Carnegie Hall for its Distinctive Debuts series, she made her New York recital debut in 2004. She performs on a 1722 An- tonio Stradivarius violin
