Die finnische Spielautomatenvereinigung, RAY, führt Probeläufe mit 3D NOVA Automaten mit dreidimensionalen Effekten im Sello-Einkaufszentrum durch. 3D Nova-Spieler haben die Gelegenheit, mit 3-D-Brillen bekannte Spiele wie Jokeripokeri und Kolmionoppa zu spielen. „Wenn die Versuche erfolgreich verlaufen und 3D die Qualität des Spielerlebnis verbessert, können wir damit beginnen, völlig neue 3-D-Spiele zu entwickeln,“ erläuterte der Projektleiter von RAY, Petri Huikko.


Die nationale Lotteriegesellschaft der Slowakei, Tipos, die zurzeit ein Gerichtsurteil über ihren Antrag auf Gläubigerschutz erwartet, möchte ihren Anteil an ihrer Tochtergesellschaft, Casinos Slovakia, verkaufen. Tipos hält 51,32% der Anteile an Casinos Slovakia und vereinbarte mit Merk Reality, dem Unternehmen, das die verbleibenden Anteile hält, gemeinsam 100% der Anteile an Casinos Slovakia zu verkaufen. Casinos Slovakia ist Betreiber von fünf Kasinos, darunter auch eines in der Redoute in Bratislava.


In Norditalien eröffnete CAI das zweite Mini- Kasino seiner neuen Vincendo-Kette. Der in gerade einmal fünf Monaten fer- tiggestellte Standort befindet sich am östlichen Ende der spa plaza in Meran. Standortleiter Alexander Artmann erläuterte: „Wir verfügen über einen her- vorragenden Spielemix aus 60 Video- Lotterie-Terminals (VLTs), Sportwetten und ein paar spannende Jackpot-Spiele. Das Ganze werden wir mit einem war- men Willkommensgruß, freundlichem Service, einer attraktiven Bar und einer Cocktail-Lounge kombinieren“.


Merkur Gaming sowie Merkur Casino präsen- tierten wieder einmal ihre neuesten Spieleinnovationen auf ihrem gemein- samen Stand auf der Svet Zabavy 2011, die im April in Prag stattfand. Die neuen vom Glücksspielstaatsvertrag vorge- sehenen Regeln könnten zur Schließung zahlreicher der ca. 10.000 Spielhallen in Deutschland führen. Insbesondere möchten die Länderchefs die Multikonzessionshallen verbieten und den Betrieb bereits bestehender Hallen nach einer Annahme der geplanten Regelung auf fünf Jahre begrenzen. Die Branche geht davon aus, dass in einem solchen Fall geschätzte 100.000 der aktuell 150.000 in Spielhallen aufgestell- ten Spielautomaten vom Markt ver- schwinden würden. Die derzeitige Geldspielgeräteregelung wird von den Länderchefs, die keine direkte Kontrolle über diese Branche ausüben, heiß disku- tiert. Für die deutsche Geldspielgerätebranche ist der Bund zuständig, während im Bereich Kasinos und Lotterie die Zuständigkeit bei den Ländern liegt.

Cammegh realises Nevada goal

“It has been a long held ambition of ours to bring our world leading roulette wheels to Las Vegas” said Andrew Cammegh. “We are also proud to be the only company designing, manufacturing, finishing and assembling manual roulette wheels outside the Americas for the State of Nevada.”

Cammegh has not wasted any time since winning the approval from the NGCB, and is already preparing its first trial installation for the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Mr. Cammegh added: “We have received a very warm welcome and have been delighted by the responses since speaking with some of the operators. The quality of our products is already well known, a fact appreciated by MGM having agreed to the trial.”


RAY trials new 3D slots adapted for 3D glasses


The Finnish Slot Machine Association, RAY, will be trialling slot machines featuring three-dimensional effects as 3D NOVA machines are sited at the Sello shopping centre in Finland.


3D Nova players will be able to play familiar games such as Jokeripokeri and Kolmionoppa using 3D glasses. This project sees a number of familiar games adapted to 3D format. “If the trial is successful and 3D adds value to the gaming experience, we can begin to develop totally new 3D


games,” explained RAY’s Project Manager Petri Huikko.


The Finnish Slot Machine Association is a pioneer in the use of 3D as, according to the association, no other gaming companies have publicly trialled 3D slot machines. The project will continue until next Autumn. “We will initially test the popularity of 3D Nova in Sello. If all goes well, we can place additional machines in other gaming halls. In total we have the capacity to build 15 3D Nova machines,” stated Petri Huikko.

Herzfeld/Leutgeb resign from CAI


The CEO and CFO of Casinos Austria International have quit their positions at the company. Paul Herzfeld and Joseph Leutgeb formally resigned from the Austrian operator on May 18. The long-serving and well respected figures have not signalled the reasons for the move nor their future plans, while CAI has made no comment. However, the internal machinations of the Assembly Board of Casinos Austria and its international subsidiary had become increasingly strained in recent months and the resignations are being attributed to tensions within the Group.
