PARAGLIDING WALKING
Monmouthshire is home to some wonderful countryside what with the Black Mountains in the north and the Wye Valley in the east. There are any number of paths criss- crossing the countryside stretching to about 1,000 miles of interesting footpaths crying out to be explored. While you are out and about discovering these trails, you’ll also find out more about the area you live in and stumble across villages and pubs you may never have known existed. The most famous of the paths is Offas Dyke, which starts near Chepstow and
runs for 177 miles following the Wales/ England border to Prestatyn in north Wales. There is also the Monnow Valley Walk (40 miles); Usk Valley Walk (48 miles) Three Castles Walk (19 miles) and the Wye Valley Walk (136 miles). A number of societies around the area run a programme of guided walks. These include Lower Wye Ramblers.
