The fees


Marriage or civil partnership Giving notice in advance of a ceremony either at a register office, approved premises or in a religious building other than in the Church of England: £33.50 per person.


Register office fees vary between the different registration districts, but expect to pay around £50 to £60 for a register office ceremony.


For the attendance of the superintendent registrar and registrar to conduct a ceremony in approved premises, expect to pay: • On weekdays £240 to £420 • On Saturdays £260 to £470 • On Sundays £340 to £530 (You are also likely to be charged a fee by the owners for use of their approved premises)


Religious ceremony in Church of England premises: Fees should be checked with your vicar.


Renewal of vows Register office fees vary between the different registration districts, but expect to pay around £125 for a register office ceremony, Monday to Friday, around £150 on a Saturday. Allow double that for a ceremony at an approved venue.


Naming ceremonies Fees for Naming Ceremonies are around the same as those for Renewal of Vows.


Citizenship ceremonies For group ceremomies, the fee is included in the costs when applying to the Home Office. For individual ceremonies, consult your local register office.
