RF CAMPAIGN: GET THE FAMILY FIT

New weekly race for kids

Here at RF we’ve got an ongoing campaign to get the family fit… We applaud the “parkrun” for kids, Kids Run Free

Established by Catherine O’Carroll and Martine Verweij in 2010, Kids Run Free is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to organise free kids running races throughout the UK. They told us: “Parks in the 89 counties across the whole of the UK will be used for the running event. Each run will be tailored to the same distance, conditions and terrain. Each registered runner will have their own individual number and will have access to our unique website, where they will be able to see their running time, track their

improvement and compare times with other runners across the UK. Each month prizes will be given to the most improved runners. “We want to get young people passionate about exercise and motivated to achieve, and we want it to be available to all children. “We want to make the UK a better

place for our children. Join us in making this happen. We aim to have 24,000 kids running at events by the end of 2012 spread across England.” Find out more at www.kidsrunfree.co.uk.
