LRGHealthcare Walk NH Participants of the LRGH/Heal walk will meet at Franklin Falls Dam on Rt. 127 in Franklin at 6:30pm. This is a 1.5 mile walk on a paved surface. At the event there will be more information on walking opportunities in the area, free water and healthy snacks, as well as a raffle for Walk NH giveaways. Orienteering Event Seawall Woods, Wolfeboro. Orienteering is a sport that involves using a map to navigate through the woods. There will be easy courses and harder ones so that people of all levels can participate. Some people run as fast as they can through the courses while others prefer to just enjoy the out-of-doors. Annual Lamprey Appreciation
Amoskeag Fishways, 6 Fletcher Street, Manchester. 10am-3pm. Often mistaken for eels, sea lamprey are the oldest and coolest fish in the Merrimack River. Presentations featuring live sea lamprey will run every half hour. Participants will discover the fascinating life and history of this ‘sucker’ fish during this one-of-a-kind event. Mount Washington Cog Railway Offers 2 for 1 Rate in June
The Mount Washington Cog Railway is now open for its
142nd season and during the month of June, neighbors in New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont are invited to ride for a special rate. Residents of Belknap, Carroll, Coos and Grafton Counties
in New Hampshire, as well as those in Vermont’s Essex and Caledonia Counties and Oxford County in Maine, will be able to purchase two tickets for the price of one every day in June. Proof of residency is required. Advance reservations for the special rate are strongly recommended and can be made by calling The Cog at 1-800-922-8825 or in New Hampshire at 603-278-5404.

Republican Committee Spaghetti Dinner
Pemi-Baker Valley Republican Committee welcomes Bill
O’Brien, the Speaker of the NH House of Representative, at the next All You Can Eat Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, June 4,at the American Legion Hall, 37 Main Street in Ash- land. The dinner runs from 5-7:30pm. Bill is our keynote speaker, and will talk around 6:00. Feast on spaghetti, meatballs, Italian sausage, salad, garlic bread, beverage, and dessert. Meredith Walking Tour
On Saturday, June 11th at 10am,the Meredith Village Pathways committee will host “Meredith Walks! An Historic Walking Tour of Meredith,” starting at 10am on Main Street at the Community Park, to unveil the newly designed Mer- edith Village Historic Walking Map. Guided tours will be led by the Village Pathway Committee to give participants the opportunity to learn about our distinctive history and archi- tectural heritage. The new self guided Historic Walking Map gives an over-
view of Meredith’s rich history. The Historic Walking Map is intended to be used by residents and visitors and will be available at the town hall, the Meredith Historical Society and other locations in Meredith after the June 11th kick off event. Meredith resident, Fran Orenstein of Unfed Designs, generously donated her skills to do the graphic design of the map and its publication was sponsored by the Meredith Rotary Club, The Inns and Spa at Mill Falls, HEALNH and Meredith Village Savings Bank.
Children’s Victorian Tea Held At Remick Museum
The Remick Country Doctor Museum and Farm will be holding their very first Children’s Victorian Tea on Saturday, June 11th, from 2pm to 4pm in the lovely Captain Enoch Remick House. Children, bring an adult loved one and your favorite stuffed animal to enjoy this special gathering and come dressed in your tea time best! Families will learn about tea etiquette and participate in fun games and activities. All ages are welcome to attend. Reservations are required by Friday, June 3rd before 12pm. Attendees are asked pay in advance. The Children’s Tea is
