What changes would you like to see with Bingo legislation in the future with regards to Bingo operators being allowed keep up with trends and avoid being left behind by other industries such as Bookmakers or Casinos?
Cricklewood has always been a pioneering Club at the forefront of gaming machine development and innovation. Designers and manufacturers are always keen to test products with us, not only because of our high footfall but also because we are very focussed on our machine estate and are quick to give feedback to suppliers as to what is good, bad, or just average. Through our parent company Praesepe we also hold regular machine seminars for manufacturers at which we feed back player trends and try to give an objective view as to the direction that we need designers to take game play in.
Technology in gaming is increasing every year with hand held gaming terminals and high tech integrated entertainment. Is ‘high tech’ the future or does traditional Bingo still form a core fundamental of the Beacon Bingo Cricklewood?
We are continually testing new technology and high-tech games, and looking at ways to combine both high tech and low tech offers, ensuring that our entire customer base is catered for, that no one feels excluded and everyone knows that they can be included if they so wish. Beacon Cricklewood is synonymous with strong traditional bingo sessions, but has always had a number of extra strings to its bow. The Club is open from 9am to 3am and we are continuously testing innovated ideas at the times surrounding the traditional bingo hours ie: - early morning, in-between sessions and late evenings. We find that keeping activity in the club encourages people to arrive earlier and stay later even if they are not involved or interested in the actual activity/ entertainment. We are currently looking at the next generation of handheld technology to ensure we are able to offer presentation and new games at the cutting edge of the industry and I don’t think it will be too long before we are able to cater for both I-pads and I-pods in our range of handheld offers We will also soon be offering the new Bingo Express product that Praesepe are developing with NRM. As with all things Bingo, as far as Cricklewood is concerned, ‘watch this space’!
