hat would you say are some of the unique aspects of Beacon Bingo Cricklewood that have contributed
to it being the most successful Bingo operation in the UK?
From the day it opened sixteen years ago Beacon Cricklewood has always been consistent in its focus. The club opened offering the biggest prize money in the UK, and this policy remains key to this day. In addition customer service at Cricklewood has always been high on the agenda, as is a close interaction between management and customers, it was not uncommon to find the previous owners selling books on busy sessions and this attention to detail is something that I continue to promote with a passion. We employ in excess of 120 staff at the Club and everyone is very aware of what is required of them in order to deliver great service.
It is clear to see the massively successful legacy of Simon Thomas and his father Jimmy on this impressive Bingo operation from the themed restaurants JT’s Hot Sam’s and Alma’s Inn named after Jimmy’s wife. It clearly still plays a significant part of the operations success. The Thomas family have become legends in their own lifetime. From the first ‘flat floor’ club at Hounslow to their latest venture in transforming the old

Hippodrome night club (in Leicester square) to what will be one of Europe’s most prestigious casinos. Their passion for business, and their ability to innovate constantly has set them apart in our industry. Cricklewood was their brain child and was a huge success for them. Our job is to continue to build on that success and to ideally ‘out Thomas, the Thomas’s!
