SpOrt BOA resolves LOCOG cash row pETE hayman
A funding dispute between the British Olympic Association (BOA) and the London Organising Committee of the 2012 Games (LOCOG) has been resolved. Both organisations have
now come to an agreement that will see the BOA termi- nate its claim filed with the Court of Arbitration for Sport over the contractual row. Te new deal brings with it
a confirmation that cash due to both the BOA and British Paralympic Association will be prioritised if LOCOG generates a ‘sufficient surplus’ from the Games. LOCOG will also support the BOA’s attempts
to secure commercial partners for Team GB between 2013-2016, and plans for the marketing of Team GB merchandise. Other terms will see BOA given a chance to buy additional tickets
Te funding dispute between the two organisations has been resolved
to 2012 events and a joint effort to expand the association’s education programme. Andy Hunt, chief executive officer at the
BOA, said: “With this matter now resolved, the BOA will be able to keep its attention focused entirely on our preparations to support Team GB at the Games.”

Sport England unveils asset transfer toolkit pETE hayman
Sport England has launched its new asset transfer toolkit in a bid to make it easier for community clubs to acquire ownership of land or build- ings from the government. The online Community
Sport Asset Transfer Toolkit is a bespoke facility that offers a step-by-step guide through the asset transfer process for community groups. It is designed to support
established community sports organisations and new groups which believe they can make better use out of unused or under-utilised public sports facilities. Sport England worked with Locality, the UK network for community-led groups, to develop the tool- kit, which offers information and resources.
