Magi Providing Reiki at Alive & Well Holistic Center

eteran holistic healer, counselor, energy healer and intuitive Samantha Magi is now providing Reiki from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Alive & Well Holistic Center, in Fort My- ers. The eight-year teacher in the practice will also conduct a special Reiki I class at 9:30 a.m., May 21.
Magi has worked with the AIDS Sup- port Group for Families & Caregivers in Phoenix, Arizona, teaching visualization and doing Reiki; with Hospice in New Mexico, where she also provided Reiki; and was a Florida volunteer crisis counselor. She was taught by one of the 22 original Reiki Masters initiated by the original American Master, Hawayo Takata.

Youth Ecology Course Connects Kids with Nature
T
o help children devel- op a deeper connec-
tion to their place on Earth, the Holton Eco-Preserve, at the Unitarian Universal- ist Church of Fort Myers, is hosting a one-week Introduction to Florida Stewardship course, June 13 to 17. The program focuses on Florida ecology, including plant and animal identification; nature crafts; outdoor activities and recreation; and a special kid-created video production to encourage sharing the joy and knowledge of what they have learned with others. Each day will end with a special half-hour celebration of the interconnected web of life. There are full- and half-day options and a special rate for members. Space is limited to 20 children per class: flora (pre-K to second grade) and fauna (third through seventh grade).
