Welcome to Go Club Yachting’s Spring Newsletter 2011. Lots of great things that are happening over the summer months:

We are really excited about the trip to Croatia which is taking place in July. The First 35’s are being offered as bareboat, but being supervised by one of our Instructors - who is there to look after all the boats. Step on board if you have a particular issue, or be available at the end of the radio mic for some advise. Its a great opportunity for all our new Day Skippers to take a boat out on their own under the guidance of one of our Instructors. (See page 9 for more details). If you prefer to have an RYA course this is available on a First 45 - and Competent Crew, Day Skipper (non-tidal) and Coastal Skipper (non-tidal) are all available.

In August we are entering the Sailing Schools Challenge in the Solent. Its a chance to sail in some great tidal waters (some say the best place for tides in the world), learn to  y a spinnaker, do some sailing games and also put all the skills into practise. We have booked two boats - and Andrey will be on one and Andy on the other. Over 50% of the places are already booked so get in touch to reserve your place. More information is available on page 7.

In May Andy is also off on his travels - this time to Sicily where he is joining Sailing Art to skipper a yacht for them. Courses from Competent Crew to Coastal Skipper (non-tidal) will be available. If you are interested in joining their crew, or one of the other yachts who are just joining the regatta for fun please get in touch.

Here in Tenerife we are offering a June Regatta, with the chance to play with spinnakers, go diving and anchor at night for barbecues and to swim with turtles. This June Extravaganza takes place during the last week of June - contact us for more details!

Also in this issue is our regular Yachtmaster update, and some more information about our sailing partners.

If it is: an RYA Sail, Motor or Powerboat course; one of our own Club Yachting courses; continuation training; or bareboat or skippered charter that interests you please get in touch as we would love for you to “Go Club Yachting” with us in the year round sunshine of the Canary Islands.

More information about sailing with Andy and Janet, Mike and Sue, Lee and Maggi

as well as Adam, Andrey, Evgeny, Alexey, Alex, Cian and Jim can be found at www.clubyachting.com.
