from a truck parked at Ingles. Daniel Ray Sprouse, of Hol-
combe Drive, is charged with felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny. He was held at the Bun-
combe County Detention Center under a $6,000 bond. Cpl. Tomas Fulmer with the
Weaverville Police Department observed what he determined to be a suspicious vehicle on Friday at Ingles on Weaver Boulevard. According to a release from the
department, Fulmer watched as a man reached into the bed of a pickup truck parked in the Ingles parking lot and stole two chain- saws before driving off.
Fulmer stopped the suspect in
the Weaverville Plaza parking lot. After investigating the activity, Fulmer, along with Sgt. Brandon Paris with the department, deter- mined the chainsaws were stolen from an unsuspecting victim who was shopping inside the store while the theft was taking place and took Sprouse, 37, into custody. Another passenger, Joseph

Suspect arrested, items returned to their owner, that is good police work,” stated Chief Greg Stephens with the Weaverville Police De- partment.
