Firemen contain vehicle fire

partment responded to a vehicle fire at 3:22 pm on Monday (Jan.
10). Te fire was at 2 Beth Hill Court in the Erwin Hills commu- nity.
Te vehicle fire was close to a mo-
bile home and damage was done to the engine compartment as well as
the underpinning of the trailer. Te West Buncombe Fire De-
partment was the only responder since the fire was contained within five minutes. No injuries were re- ported.

Flowers Bakery will open next month in Leicester.

location in the Leicester Land- ing Shopping Center beside CVS Pharmacy on Leicester Highway. Owners are hoping to open next
month. Tis will be one of their retail outlet stores that sell fresh items as well as product that has been picked up from grocery stores and sold at discount prices. Tis is the third business to open
in the new shopping center. U.S. Cellular and the Tailgait Market
pet store opened in 2010. Zaxby’s has broken ground on a new restau- rant located on the property and is scheduled to open in March. Te Flowers outlet stores sell
a variety of breads, chips, fresh baked goods, gravy mixes and jellies. Flowers brands consist of Sunbeam, Bunny, Cobblestone Mill, Bluebird Cakes and the number one variety brand in the nation, Natures Own. “We are operated out of Morris-
