When you think of Santa Ana, the words posh, hip, cool or gay are probably the last thoughts that come to mind. However, Santa Ana is dressing it up with the arrival of the Geisha House by the Dolce Group. They have locations in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and now Santa Ana where the cool kids go to play in Orange County. Offering a fusion of sensuality and style, Geisha House combines the ingredients of fine Japanese dining with an all-new hip gay night on Thursdays called Show and Tell. Geisha House is a modern Japanese restaurant, sushi bar and sake lounge that em-

braces the flavor of traditional Japan while catering to the hip, sophisticated clientele of Los Angeles, Orange County, and Atlanta. Not just the fixtures and furnishings are alluring, Geisha House is staffed by sexiness all around. Be warned however, it’s not just another sushi restaurant, Geisha House is sensual, ethereal and mysterious. Unlike other restaurants that tend to ignore and hide from Japan’s rich erotic history, Geisha House embraces it. The goal of Geisha House is to make the client’s experience ecstasy. They provide the vibe, the music, and the intoxicating tones necessary to create sensu- ality in all the five senses. We sat down with Geisha’s own Ryan Shook, for a little “Show and Tell” of our own!

What sets the Geisha House apart from the rest? I don’t think there is anything like it in Santa Ana. We are a Japanese fusion restaurant

with great sake, great food, and a super fun staff to ensure you have a good time. Are you an Orange County native? Yup, grew up here my whole life.

What do you enjoy doing on your days off? My favorite thing to do is work on my website, Talesfromtheshifts.com. Besides that I

enjoy training to fight, going to the beach, watching movies, and resting up for the wild weekends at Geisha House. What are some specialties that are exclusive to Geisha House? We have 10 specialty martinis that are all fantastic. Blueberry and cucumber, sake with champagne, lychee, and some others you will have to come see for yourself. What events and weekly specials does the Geisha House offer customers? Monday through Friday we offer happy hour from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with half-

priced drinks and a three-dollar food menu. We also do half-priced food on Monday and Tuesday, and buy-one-get-one-free sake Saturdays. Tell us a little more about the all-new “gay” night at Geisha House. “Show & Tell” is our new club night. It includes a DJ, dancing, drink specials and a very

sexy crowd from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. every Thursday night. This is the best new way to begin the weekend because you can start off with a nice sushi dinner and continue right into the club with fierce tunes and a grooving dance floor. What can readers expect when they walk into Geisha House? To be blown away by our interior. It’s dark and sexy with a three-story fireplace in the middle of the dance floor and walls covered by Japanese writings. Not only is there a bar but also a sushi bar. I just think it has a really cool vibe to it. What days of the week can we find you serving up cocktails at Geisha House? I work Monday and Wednesday through Saturday.

Do you have a “specialty drink” you make? I have a few I like to make, but one of my favorites is a shot I make with Jameson. It’s

called The Snake Boy. What’s your favorite part about your job at Geisha House? My favorite part about my job at Geisha would have to behow much I enjoy going to

work and love all the people I work with. If you were a cocktail, what would you be and why? Jameson and Ginger Ale...sweet but strong! On second thought, maybe a Mind Eraser because it will blow your mind—ha-ha!
