Rocky Mountaineer train connects North Vancouver with Whistler. It drives right by the campground in the morning and returns in late aſt ernoon. What an enjoyable site for most campers. During one of our morning strolls
we watched a lot of children departing from the boat-ramp for a summer camp vacation at Camp Latona on beautiful Gambier Island. What an exciting and happy picture that was. Light-hearted shows for children of
all ages are presented from T ursday to Sunday by the Provincial Park authorities in a small outdoor theatre. What else could I mention? T e water
was warm enough to have folks and dogs enjoy some wonderful swimming in the ocean. T ere is also short trail that takes visitors up to a viewing platform worth the climb. What a site. For the most adventurous visitors,
some intriguing artifi cial underwater reefs and submerged boats off er a great target for scuba drivers. A friendly park offi cial, the always-
smiling Moira, was looking aſt er the wellbeing of all concerned. We will continue coming here for
many years to come, if we live that long. 6
