W.S. TYLER LARGO WEAVE DESIGN WIRE MESH CONTRIBUTES TO THE DYNAMICS OF ‘PARKING AS ART’

Building a new Car Park was part of the positive statement

Chesapeake Energy wanted to make about the corporation itself and the value it places on the quality of its campus environment. The project focused on functionality, safety and compatibility within the company’s Oklahoma City campus. With a large scale building the architects skinned the structure

in 3/8” wide stainless steel mesh. The mesh chosen was W.S. Tyler’s LARGO WEAVE 2022 Design Wire Mesh. LARGO WEAVE is designed and woven with vertical and horizontal flat stainless steel wires. The 25% open weave it creates allows air movement as required by code and responds to the light in Oklahoma. This application is typical of how LARGO WEAVE invites exterior

facades to respond to changing environmental conditions. When installed, LARGO WEAVE is transparent from the inside, yet translucent and sometimes opaque from an outside view. Architectural Design Wire Mesh offers a unique ornamental

mesh design, and in many applications serves functional requirements as well. It is available in a variety of styles, designs and materials and is woven in stainless steel and other exotic metals. LARGO WEAVE is just one of many styles manufactured by W.S. Tyler and Haver & Boecker.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE HOT-WATER EXTRACTOR The Cobra H3 heated-water portable extractor

from U.S. Products is designed to clean carpets and upholstery in cars, RVs, buses, boats and aircraft. The H3 has a 10-gallon solution/recovery tank, producing longer run times and improving worker productivity. The system is lightweight – only 76 pounds – with

an upright design for easier transport and better maneuverability. A 2,000-watt in-line heater ensures 212-degree (F) cleaning solution at the wand tip. Because it uses only 0.8 gallons per minute, carpets dry faster and turn out cleaner.

BETALED LUMINAIRES KEY TO EFFICIENT LIGHTING BetaLED luminaires, featuring activity-sensing

technology adapted and developed at the California Lighting Technology Center at the University of California at Davis, provide enhanced nighttime

visibility and reduce energy

consumption by up to 80%. The luminaires were unveiled at the parking structure for the UC Davis performing arts center.

Switching to LED lights and adding bi-level activity-sensing smart technology yield energy savings of 50% when the lights are at full power and 80% when at half power.
