KRIS DICKSON, the young Northern Ireland photographer with a string of national awards to his name, became Mario Acerboni Wedding Photographer of the Year 2010 at the MPA annual awards held on October 17th.


The unusual combination of smooth, desaturated colour with spontaneous reportage shooting of the Before, During and After triptych lent Kris’s entry a unique look for bride Danielle. The runners-up were Martin Crombie and Paul Maddison whose images were featured in our last issue along with all regional finalists. In our photograph, Kris receives his crystal trophy and statuette awards from Roberta Acerboni (with interpreter) who flew in from Italy to represent her company.
