Celebrates Anniversary ANNOUNCES NIGHT VISION AWARDS
Aviation Specialties Unlimited, (ASU) cele-
brated 15 years of being in the night vision busi- ness this year by announcing at AMTC that they will be initiating and sponsoring the inaugural Night Vision Awards. These awards are being established to recognize companies for proven leadership in Night Vision Operations beginning in 2011 at Heli-Expo in Orlando. “ASU has been pioneering the advancement
of Night Vision Operations for 15 years,” said Mike Atwood Founder and President of ASU.
“We
have seen many companies and individuals work- ing hard to advance safety for their communities by

utilizing Night Vision Systems. We want to rec- ognize them for their efforts.” ASU will give awards for the following
categories: • 5-year service award • 10-year service award • Community Awareness award • International Advancement award • Mark of Excellence award
ASU is accepting nominations. Awards will
be given out at Heli-Expo, AMTC, and ALEA every year for recipients in civil operations, law

enforcement and emergency medical flights accord- ingly. Any flight operation using any Night Vision systems will be eligible for nominations. The 5-Year Service Award will be given to a
company who has successfully flown with Night Vision Goggles for a period of five years. The 10- Year Service Award will be given to a company who has successfully flown with Night Vision Goggles for a period of ten years. The Community Service Award will be given
to companies that demonstrate proven leadership and pioneering Night Vision Goggle flights in his or her community.
