SEnine Dogs & Parks
I think it is great that there is now a tea bar in Eltham Park South, I take my dog to the park every day, and when my grand children come up to stay they enjoy the open spaces, the swings, and rambling through the woods, we look forward to a rest after this, but only to be spoiled by other peoples dogs, running loose and coming up to us to beg for food, or to try to aggravate my dog. This does really spoil this for us. My dog is always on the lead when we use the benches, this gives us all time to enjoy the refreshments, after our play. Could there not be a ruling that when using the tea bar benches that all dogs are kept on their leads, my dog is a Jack Russell, and it does get very worrying when large dogs, such as Alsatians, Doberman, and other large breeds come up to him and sniff around, this unnerves not only me but my grand children, so we end up moving. Surely, the owners have had time to exercise their dogs, there is plenty of open spaces for this, so it would be nice to be able to enjoy the tea bar, knowing that we do not have to keep looking over our shoulders . I am writing to tell you how much myself and two friends enjoyed the SEnine Concert on September 25th. Well done to all involved. As one of my friends remarked, it beats staying in and watching T.V.
Sylvia Moore Rail Bridge Shops Referring to the Railway Bridge shops
in Westmount Road, information is that Tesco's want to open a Tesco Express. The local shops are really worried, they have been told that as the building was originally retail outlets, planning permission is not needed, unless the fascia of the shop need to be changed!
Should this be the case the nearby shops will be decimated and what will happen to our local Post Office Can anybody get to bottom of this. Shirley Coverdale.

Living alone, I do not have much rubbish each week. It is very annoying when the 'bin team' do not empty my green bin. I assume because it has so little in it. On occasions it has not been emptied two weeks in a row. During summer the smell is dreadful and the insects (maggots) enjoy the feast, but it is not nice, or healthy for everyone else. Even if there is little in the bin it should be emptied each week. J Collier
