Te North Buncombe High

a $1,000 Sonya Dismuke Memo- rial Scholarship. Juniors Sam Rec- tor and Kyle Ward were finalists in their “Learn and Earn” written event. As a result, they qualified to compete at the International DECA Conference to be held in April in Louisville, Ky. Junior Savannah Ramsey won a

finalist medal in the “Apparel and Accessories” event; sophomore Chris Roberts was a medal finalist in the “Principles of Marketing” event and Tasha Frasure, Trista Pruitt, Tucker Chason and Kaley Hembree won proficiency awards in their respective events. Advisor Dr. Sandy Anderson was

presented the Clifton B. Belcher Professional Division Award “for outstanding leadership, guidance, and meritorious service”. Tis is the highest recognition a marketing education coordinator/DECA advi- sor can receive at this conference. In other NBHS news
