Center Hosts “For the One” Youth Dance
T
he Center for Peace—a holistic, non- denominational spiritual center locat-
ed in Seymour, Tennessee—was recently designated as the site for this year’s For the One World Youth Dance, to be held June 25-27. The dance (for those aged 13-21) is a three-day ceremony where people from
many countries join to celebrate that the time for separation is over. The For the One Dance was the
vision of Jeanne White Eagle, who co- chiefs the dance with her husband, John Pehrson. Since 1996, the couple has traveled to the Middle East, Central and South America, Europe, Australia and South Africa. Together with adults and youth from various cultures, countries and religions, they work to bring peace and understanding into war-torn lands. “Seeing the youth trust in the dance and release things they no longer need gives hope,” remarks Robbie Warren, a For the One (FTO) staff member who has worked with youth internationally. “As adults, we often forget to trust and believe in infinite possibilities.” Many skilled and trained assistants
from all over the world will attend the dance, hoping to plant seeds of hope and change for a better world. The Center for Peace welcomes inquiries from anyone who wants to support this event in any way.
