It was somewhat annoying that, having solved one of Mother Nature’s ‘problems’, another by way of the ‘big freeze’ came along to force two abandonments over the Christmas period. However, without that sterling work in early December the racecourse could still have been under water!

Family status? Girlfriend Nicola, and three children, Leah 17, Jodie 13 and Lewis 11.

Who’s your hero and why? My Mum, because she is my mum and she is always there for me.
What is your dream holiday? I have been to North Goa in India a couple of times and enjoyed it there, but would love to go to Palm Island in Dubai.
What annoys you the most? Ignorance.
What would you change about yourself? My attitude towards people who waste my time.
Who wouldn’t you like to be? Osama bin Laden.
Favourite record, and why? Elvis Presley Suspicious Minds, as it is my karaoke song.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Not tell the ex wife!
If you were to describe yourself as a musical instrument, what would you be and why? Drums, as I can be quiet when I want to be and then loud when I need to be.
What’s the best advice you have ever been given? Don’t ever get married my son.
What's your favourite smell? Doner kebab.
What do you do in your spare time? Read a lot, mostly about military history.

What's your favourite piece of kit? Verti-drain 7526.
What three words would you use to describe yourself? Passionate, lively and energetic.
What talent would you like to have? To be able to read a woman’s mind!
What makes you angry? Dog walkers who don’t pick up the mess.
What law/legislation would you like to see introduced? Custodial sentences for dog walkers who don’t pick it up!
