001 Technologist of the Year Sherita T. Ceasar is a senior executive with 27 years in the telecommunications industry, shaping and delivering innovative technologies. Currently a vice president of Product Engineering at Comcast, her career highlights include leading paging opera- tions for Motorola as director of Manufacturing for North and South America Paging Group; technology integration and service business management as vice president and GM of SciCare Broadband Services; serving as vice president of Digital Launch and vice president of Quality at Scientific Atlanta, and as the vice president and GM of Charter Communications, bringing cable technology to 300,000 basic subscrib- ers for the state of Georgia.

Sherita received her Bachelor of Science and Mas- ter of Science degrees in mechanical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. She is a member of the national board of directors for Women in Cable Telecommunications. She has also served as national president for the Society of Women Engineers and is on MMAE Executive Advisory Board for Illinois Institute of Technology.


Sherita is the recipient of numerous achievement awards including Most Influential Women In Cable. She was inducted into the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame, as well as the Academy of Women Achievers. She was honored by the NYC YWCA, and named to the Top 10 in the Cable Industry by Cable Fax 100. She was called a “Business Diva” by Business-to-Business Magazine.
