It doesn’t happen all too often that a band puts you under an irresistible music-coated spell and strengthens the power it has over your senses year after year. Siluet’s dy- namics are without equal and Roy, Michael, Ruri (vocals), Cawi (drums), Ago and Joe (bass), Anjang (keyboards), and Ilo (guitar)’s harmonious sound and stage performance is categorically magical. Architects under Big 3 (4th June)
For the second time ever, Architects under Big 3 gives all you lovers of everything architectural the opportunity to get enlightened. This time, Balinese Ben Sarasvati will share his interest about the Vastu Sastra – an ancient Hindu ar- chitectural system in India – and its relation to the Asta Kosala Kosali – an architectural guide for residential and sacred building in Bali. Sarasvati will also tell the story of his journey through India, on which he experienced being involved in architectural projects based on the Vastu Sastra – projects such as the Sheraton Visakhapatnam Seaview Resort and the Wind Flower Pondicherry Resorts & Spa.
During the gratis Architects under Big 3, architects under the age of 30 are given the chance to share ideas and dis- cuss (their) works of architecture with the public through presentations and casual discussions. Architects under big 3 will take place on the fi rst Friday of every month and is open to the public.

Sanur Film Nights: City of God (11th June)
This free community event keeps on going and going with its entertaining fi lm nights. Fans of Brazilian crime drama fi lms can seriously sink their teeth into this one. City of God (Cidade de Deus) – directed by Fernando Meirelles and Kátia Lund – was released in its home country in 2002 and saw the in- ternational screens in 2003. Based on Paulo Lins’ 1997 novel of the same name, it deals with the growth of organised crime in Rio de Janeiro between the end of the 1960s and the beginning of the 1980s. In a nutshell, City of God sets off with a timeline fl ashback of three thieves known as ‘The Tender Trio’ (Trio Ternura). In Robin Hood fashion, they split part of the plunder reaped from armed holdups at local busi- nesses with the citizens of Cidade de Deus (City of God). In return, the city guarantees the trio’s protection. A young hanger-on boy, Dadinho, convinces the thieves to hold up a motel and rob its guests. The groupie ends up giving in to his blood thirst and slaughters all people staying at the motel…
In 2004, City of God received no less than four Academy Award nominations, grossed US$10.3 million in Brazil and over US$27 million worldwide. US publication Empire chose the fi lm as the 177th Best Movie of All Time in 2008 and Time named it as one of the 100 Greatest Movies of All Time. In the UK, it was ranked 3rd in Film4’s 50 Films to See before You Die. Make sure you see this one, folks!
