the Christmas orders start flooding in, and she's finding herself at her drawing easel 8 hours a day five days a week, just to keep up.

"Each year I'm busier & and I couldn't be more pleased with the success. My customers spread the word and I owe it all to them as being my most effective advertiser!"

During the year she chooses a handful of animal rescues to help fund raise by donating a certificate for a sketch for them to auction off.

Two of her favorite rescues are LOPE TX, a retired race- horse placement rescue, and SARA Sanctuary. There are far too many organizations she helps to list here.

Sometimes owners are not able to find the perfect photo of their pet, but might have several photos showing certain things they like, and she can incorporate them into one sketch. Her website is full of over 100 of her present and past sketches, and she always includes the photo or photos that she used to draw them from. Even if you don't have a pet, you can spend a hour just browsing and enjoying the website galleries.

She also holds a monthly contest for a chance at winning a free sketch of your pet. A free scan of the fin- ished drawing is sent via email, and if the winner wanted to purchase the original drawing they're able to do so at half the price, just for being the winner.

As an additional service, Patrice and her husband decided to offer high quality images of a client’s sketch on a variety of products, such as mugs and shirts, using what is known as a “print on de- mand” service online.

"Right now my favorite breed is, of course, the Australian Cattle Dog. My husband and I plan to get one in a couple of years when we both have more time to spend with a dog as intelligent as they are. Unfortunately, with our busy schedules right now it would be un- fair to have one, so I have to get my animal fix from our fuzzy mini rex rabbit 'Basil'".

Take a minute to check out her website & galleries, and maybe even enter the contest with your favorite pet photo!
