Bartholf hand painted the restaurant’s chairs and the floors and also designed its contemporary, sculptural lighting pieces. Other local artists display their works on the walls, and musicians perform on a weekly rotating basis. “The experience of being in the restaurant will not only feed the palate and be

pleasing to the eyes and ears, but will feed the soul,” says Bartholf, who has been preparing meals for more than 25 years after attending the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y.
