Tribal Drumbeats
March Community-Building
Natural Awakenings Naples Tribe
Notes from Chief dreamer and meetup
Organizer, Bill van arsdale
N
ow with more than100 members,
The Natural Awakenings Naples
Tribe is growing—not just larger, but
closer. Those of us who participate
repeatedly in Tribe gatherings are open-
ing our hearts to each other in beautiful
ways, finding both enjoyment and true
community in the rich soil of authentic,
soulful connections. Here’s where we are
growing together this month:
Dust off your wings for the second
annual Florida Faerie Fest, March 6-7,
at Summerland Ranch in Bonita Springs.
Bring the family and join the faeries,
elves, gnomes, green men and other
enchanting creatures for a weekend of
entertainment. Also on March 6 is the
Really Really Free Market, from noon to
4 p.m., at Fleischmann Park; it’s an oc-
casion to give away usable items, share
skills and passions.
The always-popular Intentional Net-
working group meets at Whole Foods at
6:45 p.m., March 11, to support each
other’s dreams and desires. Our monthly
drumming and dancing Tribal Jam will
be held at 6 p.m., March 13, during the
Sacred Wolf Path Celebration at Sum-
merland in Bonita Springs that benefits
the Shy Wolf Sanctuary.
We have added Inspirational Movie
Nights that start at 6 p.m., every other
Wednesday (March 3, 17 and 31). Our
monthly Kirtan of meditative chanting
with Alan and the Kosmic Tune-up band,
on March 20, begins with a veggie pot-
luck in a private home in Pine Ridge.
Our “Someone You Should Know”
meetup is on March 27 at Garden at
Eden, featuring John Puig, the organic
farmer who provides improved nutrition
and vocational training for the students and
residents with autism of Eden Florida.
